Oil Changes & Routine Maintenance in Holland, OH

Oil is what keeps the moving parts inside your engine from grinding on each other. Over miles it gets dirty and thin and stops doing its job. Fresh oil and a new filter keep the engine clean and cool.

We do more than drain and fill. While your car is up on the lift, we look it over for worn, loose, or leaking parts. If we spot something, we tell you and give you a free estimate. No pressure.

Know the signs

Signs you might notice

  • Your oil life monitor or a sticker says you are past due.
  • The oil on the dipstick looks black and gritty.
  • The engine sounds a little louder or rougher than normal.
  • You see a small oil spot on the driveway.
  • It has been more than 6 months since your last change.
  • The oil light flickers when you brake or turn.

What's behind it

Common causes

  • Normal use, since oil breaks down from heat and time no matter what.
  • Lots of short trips that never fully warm the oil.
  • Towing, hauling, or lots of idling that works the oil harder.
  • Dirt and moisture that build up in the oil over months.
  • An old filter that is clogged and lets oil flow around it unfiltered.

How it works

How we handle it

1

You bring the car to our Holland shop and we confirm the right oil type and amount for it.

2

We drain the old oil, swap the filter, and refill with fresh oil to the correct level.

3

We reset the oil life light and put a reminder sticker in the window.

4

We check tires, brakes, belts, and fluids and share anything that needs attention.

What we check

  • Tire tread depth and air pressure, including the spare.
  • Brake pad thickness and any fluid that looks low or dark.
  • Belts and hoses for cracks, soft spots, and leaks.
  • The engine air filter and the cabin air filter for dirt.
  • The underside of the car for fresh leaks or loose parts.

Why this matters

Old oil turns to sludge and stops carrying heat away from the engine. Parts wear faster and, in a bad case, the engine can be ruined. An engine costs far more than an oil change. Staying on schedule is the cheapest way to make a car last.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I change my oil?
Most cars today go about 5,000 to 7,500 miles between changes, or once a year if you drive very little. Check your owner's manual, and we can confirm the number for your car.
What is included with an oil change here?
Fresh oil, a new oil filter, a reset of the oil light, and a look-over of tires, brakes, belts, and fluids. If we find a problem, you get a free estimate.
Can I wait a little while past due?
A few hundred miles is not the end of the world. Thousands of miles over is hard on the engine. Sooner is always better.
How long does it take?
A basic oil change and check is usually done in well under an hour. If we find something you want fixed, we will give you a time for that.
Do the parts have a warranty?
Yes. The filter and any parts we install carry the maker's warranty. Ask us for details on anything we replace.
Do you offer a military discount on service?
Yes, 15% for military members. Let us know at drop-off and have your ID ready.
